– Consultant Psychiatrist (Monash Gender Clinic)
This role is a medical leadership position within the Mental Health Program, Monash Health. The role is based within Adult Psychiatry unit at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, Monash Health providing clinical and medical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and peer support workers working with trans, gender diverse and non-binary consumers.
In this position, the Consultant Psychiatrist will work closely with the clinical lead, manager, clinicians, registrars/HMOs/Interns, peer support workforce, consumers and their families to ensure the provision of safe and effective care as well as assist with the efficient management of the relevant units. The Consultant Psychiatrist will also play an integral role in supporting medical, clinical and peer support staff and managing patient journeys in order to optimise timeliness of care and meeting organisational expectations of care (please refer to Monash Health’s iCARE values and Strategic Plan). All positions are supported by relevant junior medical staffing.

What you need :
7. Relevant Qualification – Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent
8. Desirable – Advanced training Certificate or equivalent in psychotherapy (any modality)
9. Demonstrated experience
10. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
11. Participation in CPD
12. Working with Children's Certificate
13. Valid Driving licence – senior medical staff are required to travel between Monash Health sites should the need arise
