About the Role: We are seeking an experienced GP with advanced obstetrics skills to step into a Senior Medical Officer position in Cooktown, Queensland. Deliver comprehensive, patient-centred medical care across both hospital and primary care settings while making a genuine difference in people's lives. You'll manage patients across emergency, general practice, and maternity services, providing obstetric care in line with your credentialed scope of practice. Take on leadership responsibilities by supervising junior medical staff, students, and health workers, while supporting quality improvement, governance, and clinical education initiatives. You'll also contribute to community health programs and chronic disease management as part of a committed multidisciplinary team.
