TEN Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a well-regarded WA-based construction group to appoint a Purchasing Manager. This is a newly created, full-time position offering significant leadership scope, career stability, and the opportunity to shape procurement strategy across multiple commercial construction projects.
As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead group-level procurement, supplier engagement, and materials planning—ensuring efficiency, cost control, and supply chain reliability. This role plays a key part in driving commercial outcomes and supporting the delivery of mid to large-scale builds across WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, supplier agreements, and preferred vendor frameworks
- Negotiate contracts and pricing across key trades and construction materials
- Oversee purchasing systems, inventory management, and delivery schedules to meet project deadlines
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and accounts to streamline workflows
- Maintain and strengthen supplier and subcontractor relationships
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction procurement or purchasing (WA market preferred)
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials and supplier markets
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational ability
- Full Australian working rights and Perth-based experience
