The Counsellor will work in partnership with Aboriginal Health Workers to ensure therapeutic interventions have a strong cultural framework that is responsive to the specific needs of Aboriginal consumers and their families.
The Counsellor will provide individual and group-work interventions in a range of settings that reduce drug related harm and provide a high standard of culturally responsive, clinical care in line with SWSLHD policies and procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. The position will also participate in professional development, cultural supervision, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties.
