Aged Care Volunteer Visitor to read and play cards - Warrnambool VIC 3280
The Role: The Aged Care Volunteer Visiting Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government, connects volunteers with an older person who is feeling lonely and/or socially isolated, to build friendships and reduce feelings of loneliness. In your volunteer role you will be paired with a female in her mid 90s to provide them regular social support visits in their residential aged care home. During your visit you will read short stories and poetry, play cards, have a conversation and could include playing board games. Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community

This female currently resides in a Residential Aged Care Home in Warrnambool VIC 3280. She enjoys poetry and short stories, especially Irish and Australia and playing cards. She would be delighted to have a new social connection in her life for regular social conversations.
