Connect Adventures is seeking a professional, enthusiastic and passionate Walking Guide – Camp Host to join our team on a casual basis for the Gidjuum Gulganyi Walk in northern NSW.
This is a unique opportunity to host and guide on this multi-day rainforest walk through the ancient caldera of Wollumbin, within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia in Northern NSW. There may also be opportunities to work on the Yuraygir Coastal Walk in the future.

About the RoleAs a Connect Adventures Walking Guide – Camp Host, your role is varied and includes guiding guests along the walk as well as hosting at camp. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):• Deliver engaging, story-rich interpretation of the natural, cultural and historical landscapes of the walk • Encourage and model minimal impact bushwalking and Leave No Trace principles • Maintain guest safety at all times through clear communication and adherence to safety procedures • Prepare high-quality meals, carefully managing dietary requirements • Oversee campsite setup and logistics, including driving, gear transfers and guest services • Maintain clean, organised and welcoming camp environments • Stay attuned to group dynamics — fostering a positive, inclusive and connected experience • Remain adaptable and prepared for the unexpected, responding calmly and professionally in dynamic environments • Complete trip reports, hazard identification and incident documentation • Ensure all guide and guest equipment is cleaned, maintained and returned in excellent condition
Required Qualifications• Tertiary qualifications in tour guiding, outdoor or environmental studies • Current Wilderness First Aid certification • Current CPR certification • Current Driver’s License (Public Passenger Vehicle accreditation desirable) • NSW Working With Children Check
