About your new role Participate in a wide variety of arboriculture activities, including tree removal and maintenance, chemical application, utilising specialist equipment. A high level of skill in the work you do with a strong focus on ensuring safety and following WHS guidelines. Tree maintenance, pruning and removal Chipper operations Chemical application Stump grinding Training of new staff What you will need to exceed A strong sense of teamwork with an interest in ensuring projects are completed to a high standard. Prevous experience as an arborist or worked in a similar role previously and a commitment to safety. Certificate III in Arboriculture - Highly Desirable or industry experience Chainsaw Level 3 - Highly Desirable Chipper ticket - Highly Desirable “C” class “manual” drivers licence. - Essential First Aid & CPR - Highly Desirable Work Safely in the Construction Industry (white card) - Essential Working Safely at Heights - Highly Desirable Traffic Management Implementation - Highly Desirable In addition, you will need to be willing to obtain an MR vehicle licence within 3 months of commencement (If you do not already have one) What you will get in return Brisbane City Council is one of the biggest civil construction and maintenance employers in Queensland.
