Community Pantry - Food Collection Driver

As a Food Collection Driver for the Community Pantry at HTSCWC, you will play a vital role in ensuring that donated food reaches those in need. Volunteers collect donations from Aldi Aldinga and Coles McLaren Vale and deliver them safely to our Community Pantry for distribution.
Key Tasks
* Pick up donated food from assigned stores according to a regular schedule (once or twice a month, or more if you're able).
* Transport donations safely, maintaining food quality and safety standards with your own registered, road worthy vehicle.
* Communicate with store staff and HTSCWC coordinators as needed.
* Assist with organising and storing donations at the Community Pantry if required.
Time Commitment
Each collection typically takes 1 hour including reporting your collection online. Flexible schedule: Volunteers can contribute as frequently as suits them by signing up to available shifts.
Skills and Attributes
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
* Ability to lift and carry boxes of food safely.
* Good communication skills and punctuality.
* Commitment to supporting the community and reducing food insecurity.
