The Opportunity We're seeking experienced 2 x Senior Legal Counsels to partner closely with senior leaders and provide strategic legal and regulatory advice across a wide range of commercial matters.
You'll play an integral role in advising on key projects, managing regulatory risk and supporting business initiatives that drive performance and innovation.
This is a senior, hands on position where you'll be trusted with autonomy, encouraged to think commercially and work alongside approachable, high calibre leaders who genuinely value the contribution of their legal team.
Key Responsibilities Provide strategic, commercially focused legal advice across complex corporate and financial services matters.
Partner with senior stakeholders across commercial, risk and compliance functions.
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
Advise on regulatory and licensing matters involving ASIC, APRA and other financial regulators.
Lead or contribute to strategic projects, process improvement and legal risk frameworks.
Support and mentor lawyers within the broader team.
About You 8+ years post admission experience.
Ideally prior experience gained in house, though open to candidates from top or mid tier firms with strong experience advising financial services clients.
Experience within the financial services industry or advising clients operating in that sector.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and experience engaging with ASIC or other financial regulators.
Pragmatic, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast paced, evolving environment.
Strong experience providing commercial and regulatory advice to senior stakeholders.
