The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainstream and emerging technologies, with innovative approaches to solving business problems. Broad experience across networking and software will contribute directly to securing our nation.Role Overview:Engage clients throughout the solution lifecycle, from proposal to in-service realization, addressing key challenges.Define and lead the development of solution architectures collaboratively with design team members.Maintain overall ownership of solutions through delivery and transition into operation.Ensure designs meet functional and non-functional requirements.Manage technical and solution risks, working to mitigate them early.Represent engineering teams to local and global engineering executives.Lead early design and estimation efforts to understand costs and delivery timelines for business wins.Leverage BAE Systems' experience, IP, and expertise to deliver solutions and transfer capabilities to Australia.Candidate Profile:Broad technical skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities.Experience in security domains, cloud technologies (Azure and AWS), and complex application/data migration.Solid knowledge of Embedded and Computer Systems Engineering, especially Systems Integration.Ability to advise clients and teams during delivery of complex solutions.Leadership skills to guide analysts, developers, and engineers.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Experience with tender responses and pre-sales activities.Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as agile, lean, iterative, and waterfall.Experience working with government systems and engaging with senior stakeholders.10+ years in networking, engineering, or software development; 5+ years in architecture/design.Knowledge of architectural frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.Mentoring junior staff.
