About Our Role
* Permanent, full-time day work position at Simplot Ulverstone (also open to suitable casual candidates for maintenance days + coverage).
* Monday - Friday day work 0700 - 1530hrs (option of 4‐day week 0600 - 1630hrs Mon‐Thurs).
* Base hourly rate of $46.40 + applicable shift loadings & site allowances.
* Electrical licence allowance $72.80 per week + tool allowance $23.28 per week.
* RDO accruals.
* Work with a variety of fixed‐plant food processing equipment within a world‐class food manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
* Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro‐stops caused by production machinery and equipment.
* Inspect, test and maintain machinery & equipment in production areas & wider plant buildings & facilities.
* Work with PLC, SCADA (Simplot utilise CITECT) and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault finding, programming and connections.
* Perform general plant and building maintenance work, undertake specific project work upon request.
* Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Simplot Safety, Health & Wellbeing & Environmental policies & procedures.
* Utilise MEX CMMS to update work orders, search asset history and advise on any maintenance trends or opportunities for improvement and innovation.
* Contribute towards site CI activities.
* Take part in monthly maintenance day (Monday 0700hrs - 1730hrs).

About You
* Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health & wellbeing in the workplace.
* Hold a Cert III Electrotechnology + Tasmanian Electrical Licence (mandatory).
* Qualifications in Instrumentation & Controls would be advantageous but not essential.
* Experience with fixed plant electrical works.
* Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics.
* Working knowledge of safety and quality systems & procedures.
* Intermediate user of Windows‐based systems and CMMS (Simplot utilise MEX).
* Sound judgment and decision‐making ability.
* Possess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills in addition to time management skills.
* Willingness to undergo a pre‐employment medical incl. urine‐based drug & alcohol screening.
