About The Position
The School of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University is a leading institution in training veterinary science graduates. Our hospital, clinics, and clinical services provide the ideal environment for developing core clinical competencies.
At this level, we expect high-quality research impact nationally or internationally from our Associate Professors. They contribute to postgraduate supervision and lead university administration.
Key responsibilities include teaching activities within the discipline, including lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical classes demonstrations workshops student field excursions clinical sessions and studio sessions marking assessments providing in-house on-farm clinical service after-hours professional advice externally developing innovative teaching learning methods mentoring junior staff consulting undergraduate postgraduate students leading curriculum design programs supervising students engaging industry stakeholders contributing to service planning committee work.
Skill Requirements:
* veterinary degree registrable by Western Australian Board certification PhD area relevant appointment extensive experience teaching undergraduate postgraduate level producing independent research outputs attracting external competitive funding successfully supervising honours Masters HDR students designing programs written oral communication skills English interpersonal team leadership administrative activities college level.
