They have offices, including state of the art demonstration kitchens, in Victoria, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
They are now looking for an experienced BDM – Catering & Care to grow, develop and seek out new business opportunities (new but also from within existing groups) to increase their presence and market share. You will be talking at all levels to Purchasing Officers all the way through to GM Procurement, Hotel Services Directors and anyone involved in the projects that involve new kitchens and kitchen upgrades. Relationship building is an important aspect of the role.
You could be from varied industries. The obvious ones being foodservice and food equipment but liquor, beer, wine, hospital beds, dysphagia, etc (any industry that sells into Aged Care & Catering) could also be considered. You can also be someone from the Catering or Aged Care industry looking for a change.
Based in Brisbane, and Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Northern, and part of the national catering and care team you will take on the day-to-day management of customers located across all their locations between Port Macquarie and Cairns and be accountable for exponentially growing their presence and market share. It is a mix of pure BD as well as growing the revenue in some existing key accounts. Overnight travel is very minimal (1-2 overnights per quarter) as most of the business is in SE QLD and other areas are also covered by supporting ASM's.
Key Objectives – The role
* Development and execution of the sales and new business strategy in order to achieve sales budgets
* Manage BD activities and sales opportunities of (Key) Accounts and develop plans and objectives
* Identify, establish, manage and maintain customer relationships and business opportunities with new and existing Key Accounts.
* Assist in creating and managing the supply channel for strategic customer accounts.
* Prospecting using networking, research and relationship skills
* Preferred Partner Agreements
* Quotations
* Lead generation activities to achieve customer conversions
* Work with the regional sales team and dealer / wholesale distributors ASM's
* Management of customer forecasts to ensure high customer satisfaction
* Participate in regional planning for the Key Accounts.
* Implementation of the regional business development plan
* Assist in the establishment of the annual sales and gross profit budgets
* New product development management and launches for key customer projects
* Active participation in trade shows and marketing activities as they are scheduled.
You will have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of:
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or industry relevant experience
* Experience in the food manufacturing / B2B sales would be strong advantage
* Experience selling into Aged Care and / or Catering. This can be from varied industries. * Aged Care, Catering, QSR, Hospitality, HoReCa, foodservice
* Understanding of the B2B sales processes (can be long) with large companies
* Project management skills and / or qualifications
* Extensive knowledge of the foodservice industry
* Proven experience in delivering client-focused solutions and business growth
* Strong commercial experience and analytical skills
* Effective communicator at all levels in the organisation, including executives
* Team player - you love working collaboratively and cross-functionally
* Familiarity with CRM tools (eg. Salesforce) would be a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
