Applications are invited from motivated and enthusiastic persons for the position of Canteen Assistant at Yugumbir State School. Your duties will be to operate a daily barista service to staff and visitors before school and during school break times.
Additional duties will include assisting the Tuckshop Convenor with the preparation/cooking of food, adhering to food hygiene and workplace health and safety standards, receiving and unpacking of stock, filling lunch orders and counter service.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part‐Time capacity (0.56 FTE), 42.5 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities Include
* Provide quality canteen and catering customer service including food production and food preparation duties, counter service, clearing tables and cleaning duties.
* Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.
* Follow procedure regarding food preparation and adhere to daily menu plans.
* Ensure that malfunctioning equipment is reported to the Canteen Supervisor in a prompt manner using appropriate paperwork.
* Operate a cash register and collect money from client groups.

* Demonstrate your organisational ability
* Proven understanding of Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety
* Hold a Suitability Blue Card (requirement) or be able to apply for one
* To have work rights in Australia (requirement) and Criminal History Check clearance.
* To be flexible and able to work in a busy environment
* Barista experience, highly recommended.
