Work Health and Safety Professional Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional to join our team in Tasmania. As a WHS Consultant, you will contribute towards the achievement of our work health and safety strategic objectives by providing specialist WHS capabilities to ensure effective management and compliance with our Safety Management System.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level authoritative advice on WHS matters to senior executives, managers and workers.
* Assist with the development, implementation, promotion and monitoring of the Department of Justice Work Health and Safety Strategic Plan and Safety Management System.
* Influence and support senior executives, managers and workers to effectively implement and maintain safe systems of work and ensure compliance with the Department's Safety Management System.
* Manage complex enquiries and prepare high-level correspondence, documentation, and reports in a timely manner.
* Facilitate high-level risk assessments, audits and investigations to support continuous improvement and positive learning outcomes and build the safety capacity of the TPS.
Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
* Industry experience in a complex organisation.
* Work Health and Safety Investigation Qualification (e.g. ICAM).
* Lead Auditor Qualification.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Current Driver's Licence.
