Immediate start available. Fully remote opportunity.
The Company
Our client is an evolving small group of businesses under an umbrella brand, led by an impressive, decorated, and visionary COO and leadership team.
The primary objective in the foreseeable future is growth and the business is seeking someone with breadth and depth of finance experience to guide this growth. Adding value to financial processes, structure and compliance as the business expands is also important.
You will report into COO of the business and work closely with the board of Directors. You will be a core part of the strategical development which will include international expansion.
The Role
* This role holds end-to-end responsibility for the finance function, leading both onshore and offshore teams. Key areas include invoicing, month-end, financial accounting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, modelling, and costing. You'll also oversee tax and treasury functions, manage financial systems (including upcoming upgrades and projects), and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
* In the first six months, the focus will be on reviewing the current structures, reporting, and systems, with a view to enhancing and streamlining them through best-practice initiatives. You'll also play a key role in integrating several recently acquired businesses into a unified group platform, establishing consistent systems and processes to support scalable growth.
* There is a strong commercial and operational focus, with regular collaboration alongside the COO and board to drive national expansion across Australia.
Your Profile
* This role requires a hard-working, agile and fast paced Head of Finance, experienced Group Financial Controller or prior CFO with SME experience - with grit, determination, strong time management and prioritisation skills.
* The perfect candidate will come from a Big 4 initially and have a broad range of industry experience including fast growing / start-up companies. Candidates must have integration experience and have led large teams onshore/offshore ideally.
* This role will suit an ambitious candidate that is operational and hands on, into the detail. A reviewer only will not enjoy this role.
You must be a Chartered Accountant to apply and be comfortable working 100% remotely.
