About The Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.
The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build:
* The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidence-based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.
* A patient and family focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.
* The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.
Ideal Candidate
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post registration experience in the specialty.
* Holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience in various teaching methodologies including the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate unit based education.
