Focus on Surveying is a specialist survey consultancy, experienced at providing Cadastral Surveying services to master planned land developments and civil infrastructure projects to domestic subdivisions and renovations.
Established in 2012, the Company has grown organically by maintaining quality relationships with clients and consultants within the development and construction industries.
The Role:
An opportunity is now available for an energetic and enthusiastic Surveyor to join our team so that we can continue to supply our client with the first-grade services they have come to know our business for.
The successful applicant will enjoy a variety of work from major land development projects to suburban domestic projects with good exposure to cadastral surveying.
You will be joining a team of fully qualified surveyors, all holding various levels of registration from Registered Associates & Graduates through to Cadastral & Consulting.
This role is a full-time salary position, predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake field survey; cadastral surveys and engineering surveysDrafting & QA involving cadastral survey sketches, detail survey plans, and set out reportsProject Management, including the preparation of survey briefsCommunication of survey results to Clients, Local Government & State DepartmentsKey Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong work ethic, won't take life too seriously, and will have a natural alignment to our team culture and exemplarily customer service, along with:
Registered Associate, Graduate or Surveyor with Surveyors Board of QueenslandPreferably 5 years working in a Queensland based Survey ConsultancyProficient in a variety of hardware & software packages including, Trimble Total Stations & GPS, AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Centre and Microsoft Office productsStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop quality relationshipsBe curious for continuous improvement, carry out design and calculations and offers alternate solutions and conceptsLead complex end to end projects, ensuring completion in line with systems and processes and manage time to work within budgetsAlignment to small business methodologies requiring flexibility and ability to handle all facets of the jobsSurveyors with all levels of experience and qualifications will be considered as we are looking for the right person to join our team for the long term.
