Overview
The Systems Trainer will report into the Indigo Change Management Section, delivering training outcomes on behalf of a strategically significant IT Program. They will be able to leverage the expertise within the Indigo Change Management Section as well as AEC's Workforce Planning, Development and Training team, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver customised training experiences.
The Indigo Change Management Section provides change, communications, training, and transition support to the Indigo Program through the embedded Indigo Change Team. The training capability within the Indigo Change Team consists of a Training Manager and supporting Systems Trainers, who will collectively shape the direction of training and capability uplift for a strategically significant transformation program.
The Systems Trainer will report to the Training Manager and will leverage the expertise within the Indigo Change Management Section as well as AEC's Workforce Planning, Development and Training team to develop and deliver tailored training experiences and procedures to support stakeholders and achieve successful adoption.
As a Systems Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Training Manager by planning and executing the training strategy for the Program. You'll act as the vital link between the program and business, working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose materials are developed to support adoption. You're focus will be to create and support the delivery of tailored training materials and strategies that enhance people's capabilities and drive adoption.
The candidate must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Innovate and lead creative training strategies under the guidance of the Training Manager to support digital transformation in a complex program environment, ensuring readiness for the new system.Collaborate with the Change Team to understand business requirements and assist in delivering change and training activities according to the overall Program schedule and approachSupport the evaluation and analysis of training from current state to future states to support the transition, ensuring users are fully equippedCraft engaging and fit for purpose training materialsFoster strong and meaningful relationships across the Program and business to ensure training activities are well understood and effectively adopted.Coordinate the training schedule to support change and business adoption activitiesSupport the delivery of training sessions, both virtually and in-person, aligning with the training schedule and program needsProvide consistent reporting on training delivery, uptake, and success, validating outcomes with end users and their leaders
Work Arrangements
Hybrid - Applicants will preferably perform the role in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne. Hybrid working arrangements (i.e. a combination of onsite attendance at an AEC office and remote working) will be considered at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Essential Criteria:
Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team whilst contributing positively to the achievement of the Program objectives.Proven ability to contribute to the full training cycle; assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and of how to understand and evaluate learner needs with the objective of delivering high level training and knowledge documents.Experience developing fit-for-purpose training materials including guides, videos, and modules for diverse audiences.Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs and communication and stakeholder engagement skills across a diverse stakeholder group.
Desirable Criteria:
High quality written communication skills.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to support the assessment and planning of training stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and represent effectively.Ability to manage multiple work packages simultaneously whilst understanding dependencies and ensuring progress and quality.Understanding of Agile project delivery and change management frameworks, with experience in supporting training outcomes for large-scale programs.
