About the Program
Make-It-Mondays is part of Richmind WA's HeART & Soul program, offering weekly creative sessions that encourage connection, self-expression, and wellbeing. These sessions provide a welcoming, low-pressure environment where participants can explore creativity, share a meal, and feel part of a supportive community.
Purpose of the Role
Make-It-Mondays Volunteers help ensure the smooth delivery of workshops and activities. You'll contribute to a safe, inclusive space where participants feel encouraged to engage at their own pace. Volunteers are essential in making every Monday a meaningful, creative, and social experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist with setting up and packing down workshop spaces
* Welcome participants and support their engagement in activities
* Help with Make-It-Yourself lunch preparation and tidying
* Encourage social connection and a sense of belonging
* Support facilitators and other volunteers as needed

Experience & Attributes
* Warm, approachable, and community-minded
* Comfortable supporting people with lived experience of mental health challenges
* Flexible, reliable, and collaborative
* No formal creative experience required
Time Commitment
* Mondays at Richmind WA, Cannington
* 10am–12pm, 12pm–1pm (lunch), and/or 1pm–3pm
* Weekly, fortnightly, or flexible commitment welcomed
