**The opportunity**
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS6 level Liaison Officer to join the Complex Support Needs branch.
18-month initial Labour Hire contract with the chance to extend. APS 6 level role offering $58.50 hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of either Shepparton or Ballarat.
This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 7.5-hour work days.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Liaising with Agency business areas to ensure participants have appropriate supports in place within health or justice settings, and when transitioning into communities. 
- Assisting to address challenges or delays in access or planning decisions, ensuring timely and safe transitions back into the community 
- Providing guidance and advice regarding NDIS processes and procedures. 
- Supporting potential participants in hospital or justice settings to access the NDIS. 
- Developing initiatives to build networks across the health or justice sector, raising awareness and representing the client at networking and cross-agency forums. 
- Providing clear and regular communications to promote understanding of the NDIS to external stakeholders in health or justice settings.
**Skills required?** 
- ** Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position**:
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders 
- assessing complex assessments/reports 
- Government experience highly regarded 
- Disability experience highly regarded
