About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Palliative Care Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on a temporary part-time basis. As a member of the Community Palliative Care team, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients' end-of-life care by working closely with specialist medical, nursing, and allied health teams.
This position is shared with another occupational therapist, ensuring five-day service provision. Your responsibilities will include attending weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, effective clinical handovers, and providing leave relief for the oncology OT role.
About You
* You possess strong time management and communication skills.
* You have the ability and willingness to travel within the sector as required.
* You can work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Experience in palliative care, complex equipment prescription, and pressure care is highly desirable.
* You are willing to support less experienced staff and students.
* You are committed to service planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience in palliative care or a related field is desirable.
* You hold a current NSW Driver's Licence and are able to travel as required.
