We are looking for a safety expert to join a renowned organization operating in Fremantle and Kwinana on a 12-month contract.Under the supervision of the Safety Manager, this role offers support and guidance to frontline employees and contractors while overseeing work health and safety risks.Key duties include:Conduct research and offer advice, liaison, and support on WHS matters.Facilitate, coordinate, and oversee incident investigations, hazard controls, WHS inspections, and audits.Review and analyze WHS performance data to develop recommendations for improvement.Create and deliver training, information, and WHS inductions.Aid in the development, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of Fremantle Ports’ WHS management systems.Experience and qualifications required:Minimum C Class Drivers’ Licence.Tertiary qualifications in safety management or evidence of a similar level of knowledge/experience.Demonstrated heavy industry safety management experience.Experience in the development, implementation, and improvement of WHS management systems.Ability to develop and implement WHS risk management strategies aligned with relevant WHS standards and legislation.Ability to communicate and work co-operatively with others including contractors and third parties.Highly self-motivated with ability to work without close supervision.If you are experienced in work health and Safety and looking for your next move, apply now!Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
