Your role:
As a Mine Warfare Operator in the Navy, you'll specialise in working with sophisticated sensors to help defend Australia's shipping routes and trade interests. You'll work as part of a tight-knit team using minehunting and minesweeping techniques to identify, prevent or remove minefields at sea, putting you at the heart of the action. This is a role where you can really make a difference, travelling the world to hunt down and remove the threat of mines.
Whether you have recently finished school, currently studying, already in the workforce or you have no experience at all, we're hiring. You'll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job training. You may also be able to use your existing qualifications and be eligible for recognition of prior learning.
Your duties include, but aren't limited to:
* Combat data system
* mine hunting sonars
* mine disposal vehicles
* surface radars
* operating Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) such as autonomous underwater vehicles and uncrewed surface vessels.

Salary:
Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $86,453 per annum.
Period of Service requirements:
General Entry Sailor roles now have an Initial Minimum Period of Service (IMPS) between 2 and 3 years for all applicants.
Competitive Salary + Generous Superannuation of 16.4%
Get paid to train from day one and earn a salary: $60,517 per year
Once you've completed training, you can earn: $86,453 per year
