**Nurse Consultant Position**
The Perinatal Liaison Service at Flinders Medical Centre is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Consultant to provide expert clinical nursing expertise for clients within the Perinatal Services.
This role involves providing high-quality care to women and their families affected by mental health issues during and post pregnancy. The successful candidate will work closely with local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing/midwifery care within a risk management framework.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be able to devise and implement creative strategies, and demonstrate competence in Mental Health nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards.
The position requires a Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience. The candidate must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
The successful applicant will contribute to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of consumers.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Contribute expert nursing/midwifery assessment and advice to local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing/midwifery care within a risk management framework.
* Evaluate research activities to improve nursing or midwifery practice and service delivery.
* Provide advice to key stakeholders on issues relating to professional practice and workforce legislation.
About the Role:
This is a long-term contract position with the possibility of going permanent. The successful candidate will work 32 hours per week and have access to ongoing education and training opportunities.
The salary for this position is negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
