About the opportunity
Operating on a 21:7 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Altrad is seeking E&I Project Engineers to join our brownfields Gas Compression project in Australia's Southern Region. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality outcomes and maintaining strong performance standards to support the successful execution of the project.

Responsibilities
* Lead and support all technical and engineering activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, client specifications and project procedures.
* Manage subcontractors effectively, including scope development, planning, procurement coordination and oversight of field electrical construction through to completion.
* Dive high-quality project planning and reporting, contributing to schedule development, forward planning and proactive mitigation of delays.
* Oversee quality assurance and documentation control, including MDRs, work packs, ITPs/ITRs, Technical Queries, RFIs and Management of Change processes.
* Collaborate closely with construction supervisors, demonstrate HSEQ culture and requirements and undertake training and additional project duties as required.
About you
* You're a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) with 8+ years of experience in a similar engineering or construction-focused role.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, with a process-driven approach and strong task focus.
* Strong background across Electrical Oil and Gas standards, gas facility construction, HA electrical installations, instrumentation and electrical testing.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with bulk earthworks, drainage, and pipework.
* Proven experience with development of ITP's, ITR's, FIC's and quality documentation.
* Understanding of Weld log/Maps/NDT requirements/hydro/pneumatic testing.
* Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, PDF editors and standard project software.
* Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
