Regional Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Quarry Supervisor for our Forbes Quarry.
About the Role:
The primary focus of the Quarry Supervisor would be the safe and efficient supervision of operation and sales at the Forbes quarry. With a focus on safety, the Quarry Supervisor will have a heavy interest in the day-to-day duties, supervision, management and logistics of the hard rock quarry.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for Safety Performance of employees and subcontractors in conjunction with Legislative Requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan.
* Responsible for meeting and achieving production targets.
* Responsible for Quality Control in conjunction with Client's requirements and the site-specific Quarry Management Plan.
* Responsible for Continuous improvement.
* Responsible for Quarry development and ongoing production plans for the Quarry.
* Hazard identification through active completion of the risk assessment process.
Required skills and experience:
* Excavator, Loader, Moxy operation experience
* Crusher Experience
* Mechanically minded
* Strong mechanical aptitude, including ability to lead maintenance days and respond to minor breakdowns
* Ability to troubleshoot issues on crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and mobile plant
* White Card
* HR Licence
* Experience working in a quarry environment, preferred.
* Relevant RII tickets
* Excellent communication and organization skills
* Strong Management and Leadership Skills
* Ability to work effectively as a key team member in a production-driven environment
* Demonstrated ability to mentor operators, provide on-the-job training
* Experience managing a small team in production or mining environments
