Heavy Equipment Technician
A vital role in the construction industry awaits a skilled and reliable technician to ensure peak performance of our heavy equipment. Your mechanical expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in diagnosing and repairing complex issues on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions on equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, and cranes.
* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing to guarantee equipment is safe and operational.
* Troubleshoot malfunctions both in the workshop and on construction sites.
* Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair documentation.
* Order and install replacement parts; manage inventory of tools and supplies.
* Adhere to company safety policies and comply with OSHA regulations.
* Collaborate with equipment operators and site supervisors to prioritize repairs.
* Operate equipment for testing and verification after repairs.
Requirements:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Own toolbox with necessary mechanic tools.
* 3–5 years of recent experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
