Do you want to be at the forefront of innovative interventions for family and domestic violence? Breathing Space is a world first and unique residential program for men who choose to use violence in their relationships. The program has been running for 20 years and is at the forefront of men's behaviour change interventions.

The program is delivered in a secure and supportive therapeutic setting and provides psychoeducational group work, counselling, case management and advocacy. This approach supports victim survivors, including children, to remain in their homes and in connection with their support networks, to maximise their safety.

The Role

If your ready to step into a role keeping women and children safe, join our Hedland site on a Permanent full time basis as a Coordinator Behaviour change.

Your key responsibilities include:

* Coordinate and oversees group facilitation for the Breathing Space Program.
* Responsible for quality assurance, ensuring that the service is delivered as scheduled while maintaining program integrity.
* Oversees and supervises case management that supports better client outcomes, and supports skill development amongst employees
* Ensures the completion of risk assessments, safety planning, case notes and report writing.
* Provides on-call support to team members at weekends and nights, in accordance with agreed roster.
* Effectively engages with clients and demonstrates a clear ability to attend to crisis and emotional distress.

The service operates 24/7, and working patterns may include evening, sleep shifts, and weekend working. Rosters are based on business needs and subject to change. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Specific shift times will be discussed during the interview process.

About You

You're a passionate leader with a deep understanding for group facilitation. You are passionate about keeping women and children safe from family domestic violence, coupled with a desire to help men change their behaviours by being educated on FDV. You will also:

* Hold a tertiary qualification with at least 5 years experience in a relevant field, with family and domestic violence or men's behaviour change highly regarded.
* Have experience planning and leading the delivery of group facilitation.
* Have the ability to respond to challenging behaviours and understand the origins of these behaviours when working with clients.
* Engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and people with disabilities.
* Relevant experience in a similar role, including individual support, case management and group facilitation.
* Unrestricted driver's licence, Police clearance, Working With Children Check.
