We are seeking an experienced and driven AV Technician to join the VJAM crew.
This role forms the backbone of our event execution—bringing creative ideas to life with precision, technical excellence, and a passion for the live event experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and loading job-specific AV equipment using our rental system and your own judgment.
* Setting up, testing, and operating a range of AV gear—from audio systems and vision mixers to cameras and event lighting—across gala dinners, corporate gigs, and full-blown rock & roll shows.
* Providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting to keep everything running smoothly.
* Collaborating directly with clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions tailored to their event goals.
* Working with our broader team to improve systems and processes for easier, more efficient setups.
* Leading, mentoring, and training junior team members to help build the next generation of AV legends.
* Following health and safety procedures to keep yourself and the team safe at all times.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience in an AV Technician or similar role.
* A solid working knowledge of AV gear - projectors, LED walls, vision mixers, audio systems, and staging.
* Sharp problem-solving skills and a refined order of process.
* Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently liaise with clients on technical matters.
