About Us:
Hervey Bay Special School is a Prep-12 State Special School, located in the beautiful Fraser Coast area. At Hervey Bay Special School, learning opportunities and experiences are designed to be challenging but also achievable, so that every student can succeed. Our school prioritises developing the communication capabilities of all students whilst delivering the Australian Curriculum in age-appropriate ways. Our Senior students work towards attainment of their Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) though school-based curriculum instruction and work opportunities within the local community.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Provide strategic and future-focused leadership to develop and enact a shared educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just, inclusive and diverse practices across school life, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, human rights and reasonable adjustment requirements.
* Set and model high standards for student achievement and staff performance, while actively engaging in lifelong learning and professional development.
* Build strong partnerships with students, parents, community groups and government agencies to support student wellbeing and success.
* Effectively manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve curriculum and whole-school goals.
