Experienced Community Dietitian required for a publicly funded service in the Northern Territory. You will join a small team of allied health clinicians and manage the growing dietetic caseload in four remote Aboriginal communities in the Big Rivers Region. Join my other locums
* The caseload includes paediatric and adult patients, predominantly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, focusing on paediatric growth support, adult malnutrition/weight loss, type 2 diabetes, and other metabolic conditions. Dietetic support will be delivered individually or in families, with some group sessions.
* Travel: one‑day, one‑night, or two‑night trips (no Fridays), up to two different communities per week, with ample admin time.
* Role duties include stakeholder education, updating resources in remote clinics, and assisting the Public Health Nutritionist/ Dietitian with Market Basket Surveys conducted in remote stores.
* Required skills: case management for adults and paediatrics, community education, and experience in similar settings.
* Travel by 4WD or light aircraft, staying overnight on weekdays.
* Team: OTs, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistant, and Team Leader.
* Start date: 13 January for three months.
* Return travel reimbursed up to $1200, free accommodation for locums.
* Car available for occasional local use.
* Positive feedback from current locums; supportive and social team.
* Enjoy weekends in nature – gorges, waterfalls, camping, hikes.
* Hourly rate up to $75 per hour + super (depending on experience).

* Must be comfortable with small planes, driving, and overnight travel.
* Individual community trips: 1 day only, 1 night, or maximum 2 nights.
* No trips on Fridays.
* Limit up to 2 different communities per week.
* Ample admin time provided.
* Remote travel undertaken with another Allied Health team member.
* Own room provided for any overnight travel in staff or commercial accommodation.
