Advanced Trainee Position in Public Health Medicine
The Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Advanced Trainee - Public Health Medicine. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about advancing public health medicine.
* Contribute to the operational responsibilities of the Public Health Unit, providing public health medical advice and support on matters related to CD outbreaks.
* Provide public health medical advice on core operational areas including environmental health, epidemiology, immunisation and infectious diseases.
* Participate in an after-hours on-call roster, responding to emergencies and critical situations.
* Prepare reports and correspondence, as well as manage data on notifiable disease databases.
* Liaise with Public Health Unit and Population Health staff, local clinicians and other agencies concerning public health matters.
The Public Health Unit is located within the King George V building at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital site. The hospital is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
