Senior Marine Park Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Park Manager to lead our marine team in the West Kimberley District.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a passion for conservation and cultural heritage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Bardi Jawi Gaarra Marine Park, working closely with traditional owners and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective management strategies.

* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective management strategies for the Bardi Jawi Gaarra Marine Park.
* Work closely with traditional owners and other stakeholders to ensure that management plans are developed and implemented in consultation with local communities.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to effectively manage marine parks.
* Participate in planning and coordination activities to ensure effective implementation of conservation projects.
* Conduct site visits and monitoring programs to assess the effectiveness of management strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Leadership and Management:
* Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams in a conservation or environmental management context.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
* Cultural Heritage:
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and history, with experience working in joint management arrangements.
* Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to non-expert audiences.
* Marine Conservation:
* Demonstrated expertise in marine conservation, including experience with habitat restoration, species management, and ecosystem health.
* Knowledge of coastal processes, oceanography, and fisheries management.
* Technical Skills:
* Experience with boat operations, navigation, and equipment maintenance.
* Ability to operate vessels and equipment safely and efficiently.
