The Role 
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager based in Yatala to oversee daily operations of our construction teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and safely. 
This role is site-based with a 10-4 roster. Immediate start is available, subject to pre-employment checks and medical assessments. Travel to other FCS sites in NSW and QLD may be required. 
Primary Responsibilities & Duties 
- Supervise construction, maintenance, and inspection activities to ensure compliance with project scope. 
- Ensure all work adheres to specifications, standards, and regulations. 
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to meet milestones. 
- Develop methodologies and staffing plans based on contract reviews. 
- Manage equipment and material deliveries. 
- Liaise with personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays. 
- Manage subcontractor activities from tender to completion. 
- Inspect ongoing work for quality and schedule adherence. 
- Support project managers and superintendents as needed. 
- Prepare and review reports. 
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards and ISO 9001 compliance. 
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience 
- White Card 
- Engineering or trade tertiary qualifications 
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar mining & industrial infrastructure role 
- Ability to read drawings and specifications 
- Strong leadership and communication skills 
- Technical knowledge of SMP construction for mining, materials handling, substations, and process plants 
- Proven ability to manage schedules, deadlines, and multitask effectively 
- High organization and problem-solving skills 
- Current Driver’s License and relevant tickets (Working Safely at Heights, High Risk Work License) 
Desirable Skills & Experience 
- Project management or contracts management qualifications
