The Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) department's mission is to inspire & provoke transformational action. In this role you will contribute to delivering this mission as the CMI Business Partner to our Nutrition business in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), helping to grow brands like Continental and Hellmann's.
We are looking for a Customer & Market Insight Manager - Nutrition who will be responsible for the identification of consumer & market insights and ensuring they guide the development of category & brand strategies, improve individual brand performance & inform communication and innovation development.
As well as working closely with colleagues in the ANZ Nutrition Business, you will also work closely with other ANZ CMI Managers, local agency teams (e.g. Nielsen, Kantar) and a network of CMI Managers working on Nutrition in Unilever's European businesses. The ANZ Nutrition business reports into Unilever's EU/ANZ Nutrition Region. You will report offshore to the Senior CMI Manager Nutrition for UK/Ireland.
Role Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify consumer and market trends, to inform the development of category & brand strategies, market development opportunities and key initiatives- Help identify opportunities to improve in-year performance & execution to drive up growth and ROI- Be the independent voice of the consumer, delivering fact-based, objective views & credible recommendations to the business in a manner that inspires action-
- Build collaborative and productive relationships with ANZ Nutrition business colleagues, other ANZ CMI Managers, European Nutrition CMI colleagues and external partners like market research and media agencies. Building and leveraging effective internal and external networks will be key to your success in this role- Work collaboratively with ANZ CMI colleagues to manage local agency partnerships, CMI reporting suites & CMI budgets, as well as to plan & deliver relevant cross-category initiatives (e.g. lecture programmes, insight training programmes, etc)- Work collaboratively with European Nutrition CMI colleagues & contribute to the delivery of relevant cross-market CMI initiatives (requiring you to dial into evening calls from time to time)
Does this sound like You- Degree educated professional with at least 5 years of experience in consumer goods market research (agency or client)- Ability to design, develop and land ad-hoc research programs- Strong numeric, analytical and IT skills (especially Excel & PPT) with an ability to spot growth opportunities and decode performance using Nielsen Scan & Homescan - Quantium Checkout knowledge is a plus- Develop work which is fact-based rather than fact-filled, focusing on recommendations and outcomes- Strong communication skills to help land insights and messages in a compelling way- A positive attitude and can-do outlook to keep the agency teams motivated and inspired to work with the team.- An ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across a matrix organisation, both in Australia but also Internationally
