An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join a large, complex organisation operating within a regulated, governance-driven environment. This role will support the Company Secretary, Board and Executive Leadership Team, playing a key role in ensuring high-quality governance, effective Board operations, and compliance with statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end support for Board and Committee processes (papers, minutes, actions)
* Providing governance advice to senior stakeholders
* Maintaining statutory registers and ensuring legislative compliance
* Supporting governance frameworks, policies and reporting
* Contributing to continuous improvement across Secretariat processes
* Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
About You
You will bring at least 3 years' experience in company secretarial or governance roles, ideally within the public sector, a statutory body or a Government Owned Corporation. You have a strong understanding of governance frameworks and relevant legislation, and are confident working closely with Boards and senior executives. You are highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive, with a solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes and overall Secretariat effectiveness.
