Are you willing to integrate to be the Pharmacy point of contact for a clinical service and are you good at multi-tasking? The Campbelltown Hospital Pharmacy Service has an exciting opportunity for a Grade 2 Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist to join the Cancer Services team on a permanent basis. Come work within an amazing cancer service at Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre (MCTC), Campbelltown, in a collocated satellite pharmacy with dedicated pharmacy staff and be part of a rapidly growing service. We are seeking enthusiastic pharmacists with a “can-do” attitude and a solid work ethic, who have experience in delivering clinical pharmacy in a hospital setting at an advanced level service (minimum 12 months experience in Oncology/Haematology experience). This position requires a proven knowledge of therapeutics, as well as excellent organisational and problem-solving skills to help optimise medication management for patients and carers. This role would suit pharmacists who have an inquiring mind and are keen to further improve their clinical expertise. What You'll be Doing Provision of a wide range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital, including dispensing, distribution and manufacturing services as well as clinical services. Promotion of both safety and quality as key aspects of drug therapy. Participation in quality improvement and professional development, as well contribution to education and supervision of other staff and students. The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application. Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice. An already existing Grade 2 Pharmacist OR A minimum of 3 years experience as a registered pharmacist working in hospital pharmacy and minimum of 12 months experience working as a clinical pharmacist in Cancer Care Services Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, and patients and careers. Demonstrated ability to display judgement and independence in problem solving, with high level attention to detail and accuracy in completion of tasks. Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to clinical settings such as haematology and or/oncology, palliative care, development or review of medication policies and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams, promoting teamwork and supervision/assistance to pharmacy staff in the specialty field. Proven organisational and time management skills and the ability to priorities according to organisational needs. Demonstrated contribution to quality assurance activities. Proven patient focused practitioner with an interest in counselling.
