JHL Digital is a rapidly growing healthcare communications agency that specializes in providing high-quality medical writing and communications services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. We are currently seeking a medical editor to join our medical writing team.
As an Editorial Assistant, you would report to the Editorial Director and also work closely with our team of medical writers, designers, and client services staff.
Job Description:
This is a junior position with the opportunity to grow into a medical writing career for the right individual. The Medical Editor will be responsible for assisting with the creation of high-quality medical content for various promotional and educational materials for healthcare professionals and patients. The candidate will be expected to be able to communicate complex medical information in an accurate and compelling manner.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the development of medical communications materials for a variety of audiences (e.g. healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and patients)
2. Proofing a wide range of medical communications materials such as electronic detail aids, leave-behinds, websites, rep-triggered emails, slide-kit presentations, and patient materials to ensure there are no errors and that all information presented is accurate
3. Completion of data and consistency checks to ensure the material is accurate
4. Use of Veeva Promomats to upload and reference link content to the scientific literature
5. Organizing and maintaining JHL editorial resources
Requirements:
1. Strong scientific background (BSc in a life/pharmaceutical science – e.g. biology, biochemistry, pharmacy/pharmacology, or a closely related subject)
2. Experience in editing or communicating scientific information
3. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
4. Exceptional attention to detail
5. Ability to multitask, turn work around quickly and meet deadlines
6. Proven ability of working cross-functionally in a team
