We are the Content Compliance and Policy Team. We work across a wide range of challenging content, from pre-production to broadcast, for all Sky's Entertainment, Factual and Sports channels. We are responsible for reviewing and shaping all of the programmes that air on Sky's wholly owned channels and are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our busy Compliance team.
What you'll do:
- Deliver compliant content for all Sky platforms and content categories including Sky Entertainment and Sport channels, Sky Cinema, UHD/HDR, Sky Kids, continuity, promos
- Understand Ofcom's Regulatory reporting obligations
- Have an understanding of industry standard desktop editing software and file management
- Produce edit instructions across all of Sky's systems - currently Ardome, EasyCut, PreCut & PreSeg and ensuring all programme metadata is entered including durations, end credit information, audio configuration, and media identifiers.
- Training for the role and on Sky's systems will be provided
What you'll bring:
- Experience in either an editorial compliance role or a comparable discipline within a commercial broadcast environment, or a proven passion for the role.
- A solid understanding of Avid / equiv. editing software and file management
- Knowledge of the programme making process and the wider broadcasting environment including interactive television and new multi-platform services
- Proven track record to influence staff across all levels, including those at a senior level
