About the Role
We are seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Jewish Care Victoria.
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will assist the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator in providing leadership and direction to residential teams. You will promote a holistic approach to support our residents and maintain a diverse range of formal and informal programs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator in promoting a holistic approach to support our residents.
* Maintain a diverse range of formal and informal programs for our residents.
* Work with residential teams to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our residents.
You will be great if you have:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A warm, compassionate, and caring nature with respect for cultural diversity and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team and monitor residents' needs and wellbeing.
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Certificate III in Individual Support.
* Two years' experience as a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant in aged care or a community environment.
* A 'can-do', willing, and creative attitude.
* NDIS Worker screening number.
* Evidence of COVID-19 and 2025 influenza vaccines.
* Multilingual skills (desirable), especially in Russian, Hebrew, and/or Yiddish.
