The Opportunity Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Structural Fitters to join the AH-64E Apache sustainment and support team. Program overview The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia's land and joint operations. What you'll get to do * Manage the delivery of Aircraft Life Support Equipment services around the operational requirements of Apache. * Be competent in all aircraft life support processes inclusive of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, modification and planning documentation. * Be able to work within a dynamic team and be able to respond effectively to changing requirements. * Perform installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of life support equipment including ejection seats, survival kits, parachute systems, oxygen systems, life rafts and related fittings. * Conduct scheduled servicing, functional checks and rigging in accordance with technical manuals, MELs and approved procedures. * Carry out detailed record-keeping and logbook entries for life support equipment, ensuring full traceability and regulatory compliance. * Support fleet operations during turnarounds, exercises and deployments; may include on-call or rostered weekend work. * Liaise with airworthiness engineers, logisticians and aircrew to resolve defects and improve equipment reliability. Who we're looking for * Must hold a Cert IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (or equivalent). * Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA Provided). * A minimum of ten years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience. * Proven experience working with aircraft life support equipment * Experience in maintaining and manufacturing soundproofing, soft furnishings and aircraft flooring (highly desirable). * Explosive ordnance supervisor (highly desirable). * Experience with ADF products and processes on larger aircraft or rotary wing platforms (desirable).
