About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Communications Manager will lead strategic and tactical external communications to drive growth in home dialysis adoption-particularly peritoneal dialysis-and to optimise the patient experience and time on therapy.
This is a critical role providing much-needed capability in a growing and under-resourced marketing communications function. You will manage the organisation's largest digital activity portfolio, delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns targeted at both healthcare professionals and patients, while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and brand standards.
Approximately 70% of the role focuses on marketing communications, with 30% dedicated to supporting and marketing a digital health platform that enables clinics to remotely manage patients.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
* Develop and execute marketing communications plans to increase adoption of home dialysis therapies
* Lead patient and clinician engagement campaigns across digital, social, email, and paid media channels
* Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, clinical education, product management, and market access to ensure aligned messaging and objectives
* Manage agency relationships and translate strategy into clear, actionable briefs
Content Development
* Create and oversee compelling, compliant content for patients, clinicians, and stakeholders (brochures, digital assets, social media, newsletters, email campaigns)
* Localise global assets to meet ANZ market needs
* Ensure all communications meet regulatory, legal, and brand requirements
Digital & Platform Marketing
* Support and promote a digital health solution used by clinics to manage patients remotely
* Oversee paid digital advertising, subscriptions, and social activity
* Manage patient newsletters and consent-based communications
Performance Measurement
* Analyse campaign performance, adoption rates, and engagement metrics
* Use insights to optimise campaigns and recommend improvements
* Track budget allocation with a strong focus on patient-facing investment
EHS & GMP Responsibilities (Compulsory)
* Actively contribute to a zero-harm workplace
* Comply with all EHS, GMP, legal, and corporate requirements
* Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance at all times
About You
You are a confident, hands-on marketing communications professional who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments and knows how to build clear, compelling messaging for multiple audiences.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
* Minimum 4-5+ years' experience in marketing communications
* Background in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or another highly regulated industry (e.g. infant formula, FMCG, finance, tobacco)
* Proven experience delivering multi-channel campaigns (B2C experience desirable)
* Exposure to digital health solutions or technology-based patient engagement tools
* Strong experience working with agencies and cross-functional stakeholders
* Demonstrated resilience and tenacity when navigating complex market challenges
Skills & Capabilities
* Strong strategic and tactical marketing communications expertise
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Digital marketing proficiency, including analytics and CRM platforms
* Data-driven mindset with ability to turn insights into action
* Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
* Comfortable using contemporary tools such as Canva,, and similar platforms
