Answers telephone and schedules appointments for the Hearing Centre. Provides clerical support. Assists members with questions or problems. Processes sales. Completes paperwork. Keeps the Hearing Centre clean. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Answers incoming calls for Hearing Centre
- Assists members
- Schedules member appointments and answers questions about services
- Answers questions and resolves problems regarding merchandise or services
- Completes and sends order paperwork and ear moulds to manufacturer
- Assist in maintaining a computerised file for each member by scanning all member documents into system
- Enter and update member PHI and ensures accurate data entry
- Maintains proper departmental and safety procedures and standards
- Calls members to follow up on orders
- Performs off-site marketing according to Hearing Centre Manager's plan and assist with marketing projects
- Counts register at sign on and shift end to maintain accurate register funds
- Ensures register cleanliness
- Receives accurate payment for merchandise: makes change, processes Hi-Caps transactions, credit and debit charges according to proper departmental procedures for paperwork and the performance of duties
- Completes and sends order/repair paperwork to vendors
- Exercises discretion and confidentiality with all patient information
- Follows proper Hearing Aid Centre and general safety and security procedures and standards
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
- Completes minor repairs and troubleshooting tasks for members on hearing aids and accessories
- Cleans, repairs, and prepares hearing aids and accessories for delivery as required
- Cleans and sanitises hearing aids, equipment and work surfaces per department procedures and standard
- Manages inventory for department
- Orders hearing aids and related supplies
- Completes returns and subsequent paperwork. Verifies daily receiving/shipping summary
- Works with Office Management software to maintain status of all member hearing aids and records.
**_ Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery_**
- Phone, copier, cash register, private vehicle, hand-held scanner, computer, hearing aid vacuum and ultrasonic cleaner.
- Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher
- Licenses/Certifications: None*
- Experience/Skills: Cashier or comparable experience, basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), effective customer service skills, initiative and self-motivation, ability to work well in teams and independently, proven ability to communicate information concisely
