As a key member of our medical team, the Senior Medical Officer will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at the Normanton Hospital.
The successful candidate will contribute to creating pathways to better health for North West communities by providing clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage administrative requirements of patient care with minimal delay
* Ensure discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence are completed efficiently
The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. They will be responsible for managing administrative tasks related to patient care, including timely completion of discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary degree qualification from a recognized institution
* Current unconditional registration or eligibility for unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the relevant governing body
* Possession of a Fellowship in General Practice (FACCRM or FRACGP/FRACGP-RG/FARGP)
* Advanced skills in various specialties, including Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Remote Medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Small Town General Practice, Population Health, Academic Practice, with Anaesthetics or Obstetrics considered desirable
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence required
