Property & Estates Lawyer (Full-Time WFH)
VIC Practice | AOEP Advantage | Litigation Confidence | Values-Driven Team | 4‑Day Week Option
If you're a Victorian Property & Estates Lawyer who wants meaningful work, genuine flexibility, and a team that values integrity as much as performance, this role is built for you.
We're a high-performing remote practice with strong systems, clear expectations, and a culture grounded in trust. Yes, KPIs matter — they keep us accountable and ensure clients receive exceptional service — but they're not the only measure of success here.
How you show up, how you treat clients, and how you embody our values matters just as much.
If you're someone who delivers quality work
and
contributes positively to a team culture, you'll thrive with us.
Why This Role Stands Out
Most firms talk about flexibility.
We live it.
Most firms say they value culture.
We hire for it.
Most firms claim to support remote work.
We've built our entire operating model around it — and it works.
And here's something that truly sets us apart:
A Working Week That Works for You
Our team members are offered the ability to structure their full-time hours across 4 days if that suits their life.
Some choose a permanent 3‑day weekend.
Others take a weekday off to manage family commitments.
We care about outcomes, not clock‑watching — and we trust our people to deliver.
This is a role for a lawyer who wants autonomy, meaningful matters, and a team that genuinely supports each other's success.
About the Role
This is a
VIC-jurisdiction role
, with the opportunity to work on cross-border matters into NSW and/or QLD if you have that experience (or want to build it).
You'll work across:
Property
* Complex property transactions (With a Full-time Conveyancer in the team)
* Advisory work across residential, commercial, and rural matters
* Property disputes & litigation — including Magistrates' Court matters (contract disputes, adverse possession, caveats, leasing disputes, co‑ownership issues, specific performance and related relief)
Estates
* Probate and letters of administration
* Estate administration and distribution
* Succession advisory work
* Estate planning, including Wills, EPOAs, and Testamentary Trusts (TTs)
* AOEP familiarity is a strong advantage — if you're all over it, you'll hit the ground running
Prefer to avoid contentious estates? No problem — we have a dedicated team for that. Enjoy that work? You'll be supported to do more of it.
What You Bring
We're looking for a lawyer who is:
* Situated in Australia, with experience practicing in Victoria, or
* you're so versatile, commercially sharp, and technically confident that our Management Team takes one look at your background and thinks:
"They've absolutely got this."
* Comfortable with litigation, especially in the Magistrates' Court
* AOEP‑savvy is an absolute bonus
* Cross-border capable — NSW/QLD experience is a bonus
* WFH‑ready — disciplined, responsive, and confident managing files remotely
* Versatile — able to move smoothly between property and estates work
* Commercially sharp — strong drafting, attention to detail, and practical judgment
* Values-driven — integrity, communication, teamwork, and client care matter to you
* Performance-minded — you understand the importance of KPIs, but you also know that numbers don't replace professionalism or quality
If you're someone who takes ownership, delivers consistently, and aligns with a team-first culture, you'll fit right in.
How We Work
You'll be part of a well-structured, well-supported remote practice:
* Weekly fee-earner meetings (workflow, capacity, strategy)
* Monthly firm-wide meetings (performance, operations, updates)
* Systems designed for remote efficiency
* Autonomy to run your matters — with support available whenever needed
We measure success through a blend of performance, professionalism, and values alignment — because great lawyers are more than their billables.
WFH Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
* A private, professional workspace
* Reliable internet and phone
* Confidence using remote practice systems and maintaining consistent client communication
