Our client is a well‐established and growing Australian business currently entering an exciting new phase of transformation and expansion under private equity ownership. With approximately 85 employees across the organisation, the business is focused on building scalable systems, strengthening leadership capability and embedding a high‐performance culture to support future growth.

About the opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager – People & Performance will lead the development and execution of a contemporary people and culture strategy aligned to the organisation's growth and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

* Develop and implement a people and culture strategy aligned to business growth and transformation objectives.
* Lead organisational design, workforce planning and capability development initiatives.
* Design and embed contemporary performance management and remuneration frameworks.
* Support leaders to build accountability, performance capability and strong people leadership practices.
* Lead enterprise‐wide change initiatives and organisational maturity uplift programmes.
* Develop internal communication and employee engagement strategies during periods of transformation.
* Establish scalable HR systems, policies, governance frameworks and operational processes.
* Act as a trusted advisor and coach to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

About you

You are an experienced senior HR leader who has successfully operated within growth, transformation or evolving business environments. Commercially astute and highly pragmatic, you navigate ambiguity, build capability and introduce structure and accountability within fast‐paced organisations.

You bring a hands‐on and outcomes‐focused leadership style, with the credibility and resilience to influence senior stakeholders while balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role at GM, Director or Executive level.
* Experience supporting organisational growth, transformation and cultural change.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business outcomes.
* Demonstrated capability implementing performance, remuneration and accountability frameworks.
* The ability to influence, coach and challenge senior leaders and stakeholders.
* A practical, resilient and emotionally intelligent leadership style.
* Experience within private equity‐backed or founder‐led environments will be highly regarded.
