Lutheran Homes Barossa is one of the larger Aged Care facilities outside the metropolitan area in South Australia, situated in the picturesque township of Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa Valley. With 200 employees, Lutheran Homes Barossa offers a high standard of independent living accommodation in 140 units, and a state-of-the-art 120 room Residential Aged Care Facility.
Reporting to the CEO, the People Strategy & Capability Lead provides integrated leadership to Lutheran Homes Barossa's people and workforce strategy, workforce capability, and high-risk people matters to ensure the organisation has the right people, skills, leadership, and governance to deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care and services to older persons.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Developing, leading and maintaining LHB's People and Workforce Strategy
* Embedding organisational values and culture into leadership frameworks and workforce planning systems
* Providing workforce and people governance advice to the CEO
* Ensuring workforce capability supports safe practice, service quality, and workforce sustainability
* Leading the design of leadership development frameworks and workforce development and succession pathways
* Monitoring capability gaps, compliance trends, and workforce readiness indicators
* Providing leadership and oversight of high-risk transactional resident relations & employee relations complex people matters
* Providing governance and assurance over People Operations delivery and general oversight of transactional functions
As the successful candidate, preferably you will be tertiary qualified in HR, law, organisational development or business administration and have previous experience in people strategy, workforce planning, and employee relations with a demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-risk people matters. You will also display a strong understanding of legislation and industrial instruments. Experience in aged care, public health or community services is desirable, as is experience in working with unions and external regulators.
On a personal level, you will be a strategic thinker with practical risk awareness, display strong ethical judgement and alignment of values to the organisation and be calm and credible yet decisive under pressure.
