Software / Solutions Architect | Perth | Full-Time | Mining
The role
HAYS are representing a global company in their search for a Software / Solutions Architect. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of an innovative, large-scale solution within the resources sector.
As the Architect, you will be responsible for translating complex business and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and well-documented solution designs. You will act as a key technical authority, collaborating closely with subject matter experts, developers, and testing teams to ensure successful delivery.
Core responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for development and testing teams throughout the lifecycle.Present and explain design decisions, providing clarity and technical guidance where required.Participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in mining fleet management and autonomy.Contribute to the development of architectural patterns, standards, and best practices across the teamCollaborate with subject matter experts to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.Translate high-level requirements into detailed, development-ready design specifications.
Experience required
Proven experience as an Architect delivering complex software solutions.Experience within Fleet Management or Autonomy solutions would be highly desirableTechnical Experience with cloud-based architectures - AWS/AzureExperience within IoT, Data Analytics and Real-Time Technologies Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.Demonstrated experience producing detailed technical documentation and design specifications.Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
