The Chief Financial Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organisation. You will take ownership of the finance function, delivering strategic insights and operational excellence to support our ambitious growth plans.
About the Role:
* Financial Planning and Reporting: Prepare and manage statutory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation returns, ensuring timely submission and compliance.
* Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the precise execution of month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Financial Analysis and Decision-Making: Deliver accurate and timely financial and KPI reports to guide decision-making and inform business strategies.
* Quarterly Board Reports: Prepare quarterly board reports to communicate financial performance and strategy, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
* Audit and Assurance: Facilitate internal and external audits, serving as the primary liaison with auditors, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic goals, identifying opportunities for growth and cost management.
* Fixed Asset Register and Insurance Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with insurance management, ensuring accurate records and efficient claims processing.
* Inventory Management and Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management and financial systems, driving efficiency and scalability.

* Commercial Acumen: A commercially savvy finance professional with 5+ years of experience in finance management, ideally in services or project-based industries.
